FSSC 22000

GFSI

The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) establishes international food supply safety guidelines and benchmarks following rigorous scientific testing. It recognizes several food safety schemes, most notably the FSSC 22000 certification which includes farming of animals, plants, grains and pulses, and fish; processing of animal, plant, ambient stable and mixed perishable products; and production of feed, biochemical and storage packaging. FDA Food Safety Modernization Act
